About

Sarah Gottlieb Studio is a design practice working with colour as a strategic, spatial, and material tool across space, products, and surfaces.

Founded by Danish designer Sarah Gottlieb, the studio develops spatial concepts, colour strategies, installations, exhibitions, interiors, and product-related projects for cultural and commercial clients. With a Master’s degree in Visual Communication from the Royal College of Art, London, Sarah Gottlieb combines spatial thinking with material understanding through an experimental yet systematic approach to design.

The studio’s work explores how colour influences atmosphere, orientation, behaviour, perception, and emotional experience within a space. Rather than treating colour as decoration, Sarah Gottlieb Studio approaches colour as an integrated part of spatial identity and experience, working with colour as a material in itself.

Alongside commissioned work, the studio develops exhibitions, talks, installations, and research-driven formats exploring the relationship between colour, materiality, perception, and contemporary visual culture.

Sarah Gottlieb is also the host of The Sound of Colour podcast, featuring conversations with designers, artists, and creatives working with colour across disciplines.
