SAVO x Sarah Gottlieb
Developed for Swedish office furniture brand SAVO and presented during 3daysofdesign 2026, the project explores how colour, material and texture can transform the perception of familiar objects.
Working with two existing chair designs, Savo Spine and Savo 360, the project reimagines the chairs through carefully composed material and colour combinations. Rather than altering the form itself, the intervention focuses on shifting character, atmosphere and visual identity through colour.
The two chairs were developed as distinct yet complementary studies. One combines vibrant blue upholstery with a deep red-brown structure, creating a bold contrast between colour and form. The other pairs warm brown leather with pale stained wood and brushed metal details, exploring softness, tactility and restraint.
Presented as part of SAVO's exhibition during 3daysofdesign, the project demonstrates how colour can function as a strategic design tool capable of creating new narratives around existing products.
