Vesterbro Children’s Library

Developed for Copenhagen’s oldest public library for children, the project explored how colour alone could transform an existing interior with a very limited renovation budget.

Inspired by nature and the colourful facades of Copenhagen, the library was organised into three chromatic themes — The Forest, The City, and The Park — each creating distinct atmospheres for different age groups and activities throughout the space.

Working across walls, spatial elements, and custom-built display furniture, the project investigates how colour create orientation, curiosity, rhythm, and emotional connection within otherwise architecturally simple rooms.
